Micropoetry is poetry in 140 characters or less
i touch your face
felt my monitor's cold surface
it's rather rude
in my quaint life you intrude
if you were a book
i'll peruse & devour you
from cover to cover
i like you because
"YOU" are "YOU"
and allow "ME"
to be "ME"
words hurt feelings
but silence
is deafening and
more damaging
an apology meant
you value
the person more
than your ego
you haunt me in the
stillness of dawn
i hunger for you still
lost in the abyss of darkness
i felt ice, strange
it was you
cold as winter
when you're in my stream
i touch my screen
now i stand in the rain
hoping to assuage the pain of
your leaving me again
Hi Del, You can put more into fewer words than anyone else I know. Pretty amazing! Thank you for the poetry. John
ReplyDeleteHi John,
ReplyDeletethank you. these are tweets that mean so much to me because they're true.
it took me a while to put them together as the feelings still resonate.
i hope to re-read them again later hopefully sans the angst.
thank you for being still my friend John :-)
Del, I read those lines bit by bit from your twitter stream. And it is so striking when arranged into poetic lines, in whole. The feelings resonate, and I hope to re-read them again later.
ReplyDeleteA sprinkle of good cheer sending your way. And have yourself a very Merry Christmas.

Hi Florence,
ReplyDeleteThanks for finding time to read my blog.
Indeed, there is a story when you read between the poetic lines (^_^) and reason (s) why i finally decided to blog.
Twitter is a great sounding board for one's dreams, joy and pain.
Love witty exchanges with you, have a happy x'mas and 2012 .
