i joined twitter on 31 Aug 2009 as a clueless newbie. on my first week, i followed some celebrities of my choice curious why they joined twitter and what do they tweet daily, selected news organizations and a mix match of anyone and everyone. initially i was retweeting some posts i liked but never got responded to as though a one way conversation [not that i expected aplusk algore or oprah to respond] .

then i stumbled into  Artwiculate , known as  *The twitter-based Word of the Day [WOTD] competition that helps clever people look clever and helps the rest of us learn new words*.  this daily lexiplay got me hooked on twitter. to date we learned 752 words. the essence of an entry is somewhere between epitome and parody and a virtual crown is awarded to the top daily winner whose tweet usage for WOTD garnered the highest score based on artwiculatti [coined name for players] votes.
in my 24 months of play i won a total of 22 virtual crowns : five in 2009, seven in 2010 and ten in 2011. it was fun to revisit the words and their winning usage, some poetic, others fun or pun.
